Bradner Community Club
HISTORY

The Bradner Community Club (BCC) was established in 1924 (registered by-laws & constitution) as a local nonprofit organization. It has operated continuously as a strong and active community association. The present community hall began construction in 1960 by volunteers and donations and was completed in 1963. In the early 1970's the club purchased 4 acres and developed a park with lighted softball and soccer fields, a lacrosse box, club house, 2 tennis courts, and a small community garden and gazebo across from the Bradner General Store. In 2015, Pickleball lines were also added to the tennis courts. Bradner, BC is well known for its lively political meetings, social events, and sports.
The first Bradner Flower Show was held in 1928. It is now a famous annual tourist attraction, drawing thousands to enjoy over 400 varieties of daffodils and artistic floral displays.

Slow pitch and Sno-pitch are played annually and soccer and baseball teams rent the fields for games. The Bradner Hall provides facilities, including catered meals, for weddings, private and company parties, and a variety of events for other organizations. The club sponsors community events such as free Halloween and Christmas parties, and supports community groups such as the Bradner Presbyterian Church, Bradner Elementary School, and the local community news The Bradner Barker.
The club also donates to MSA Hospital, children’s sports and local service clubs and organizations as well as providing annual bursaries for local high school graduates.
